Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 Cricket Series has started for the 2nd time in Bangladesh from 17th January, 2013. The first BPL was played among 6 teams in 2012 named: Dhaka Gladiators, Duronto Rajshahi, Chittagong Kings, Barisal Burners, Khulna Royal Bengals and Sylhet Royals. Dhaka Gladiators was the 1st BPL champion.
But this year, in the 2nd season of BPL T20 2013, 7 teams will clash against each other in a month long series. Rangpur Riders has been added as the 7th team. So, this year, the competition is more than the previous one. Moreover, Bangladesh national team has defeated West Indies in ODI series in recent past. So, the enthusiasm among the cricket fans of Bangladesh is immense now!
